About Me

Hello! My name is Valerie, and I am a private English teacher who loves to make learning fun! I grew up in New York State and studied for five years at Salford University in Manchester, England. I currently live in North Carolina with my husband and two sons. I have been a teacher for over sixteen years and cannot imagine a more fulfilling career. I love helping others discover and explore the world through language! In addition to teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling with my family, cooking, and hiking in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, where I live.
